Stone, minus a zero
Stone grain is applied the same way as wood grain, with textures taken from granite, travertine, cement grey and sandstone. A fluorocarbon primer can be applied first for better exterior durability.
Compared with dry-hung stone, a stone-grain aluminium panel is light, has no batch colour variation and no radioactivity, and puts far less load on the framing — which makes it ideal for tall elevations and refurbishment, where the structure does not need strengthening.

Key details
The details that decide whether it installs well and still sits flat in three years.
- 01
Light
About one tenth of 30 mm granite — much less load on framing and structure.
- 02
Consistent
Natural stone varies batch to batch; sublimation does not.
- 03
Inert
No radioactive elements as in some natural stones.
- 04
Refurbishment
Existing stone façades can be replaced without strengthening.
