Grain that is not printed on top
The grain is applied by sublimation: after pre-treatment a wood-grain film is wrapped on and the panel passes through a curing oven at around 200 °C, where the print sublimates into the coating. The result is close to real timber in both pattern and feel.
Unlike timber it does not swell, does not attract insects and needs no re-oiling — and it can be used outdoors. Paired with baffle or grille systems it makes a convincingly warm timber-look ceiling.
